Spring is bringing more than just fresh buds and green leaves at Fox Ridge! This year we are opening a new depot location, upgrading our website and launching a new slogan. The slogan we created was a collaboration of everyone involved in Fox Ridge and we think it says it all: Growing Together from the Ground Up! Fox Ridge has been growing with our customers since 1984 when we first opened for business under the business name Straus Tree Farms, Inc. Over the last two decades we have continued to branch out; first through our expansion and growth to a Huntley location, and over three years between 2003 and 2006, a move to a larger facility and farm in Harvard. Fox Ridge is easily accessible via Route 173, Route 14, or Route 23. Our latest expansion is a “depot” location in Cary, IL. Our 440-acre Harvard location allows us Fox Ridge expanded operations and improved availability. We can satisfy customer’s needs for a wider range of sizes and varieties of plant material. In addition, the relocation allowed us to increase the holding/sales yard to 5 acres for our “shop and go” customers. New offices and a liner storage facility have also been completed. Our goal is to provide 2”-4” specimen shade trees and 5’-12’ evergreen trees with our new larger operation. Fox Ridge Nursery provides premium quality field-grown trees, shrubs, ornamental, and evergreens to retailers, landscape contractors, villages, and park districts. Quality and Customer Service are two areas that haven’t changed. Bob Livingston has been the general manager since 1988. Bob listens to his customers and remains committed to providing superb plants at competitive prices. Bob's experienced team is dedicated to customer service. Danny Livingston oversees the holding yard operation and assists with sales. Marcelino Perales is Harvest Manager and has over 30 years of experience. Jimmy Origer is Field Manager and has been with the Fox Ridge family over 12 years. Lynda Lavin manages our office and is the cheerful voice everyone hears when they call our office.
